The Ritual

How Lull
Works.

Sleep isn't a switch you flip. It's a process your body moves through — and Lull is designed to work with that process, not against it.

The Timeline
T–45 min
Set the scene Circadian cue

About 45 minutes before you want to be asleep, crack open a Lull. Dim the lights if you haven't already. This signals to your brain that the wind down is starting — environment matters as much as the drink itself.

T–30 min
Drink Lull Ingredient absorption begins

Drink it over 10–15 minutes. You don't need to chug it. It's lightly carbonated, so sip it like you would a sparkling water. The active ingredients begin absorbing within 20–30 minutes.

T–15 min
Feel the shift GABA + L-Theanine calming effect

Most people notice a gentle calm within 15–20 minutes. Not a heavy sedative feeling — more like the mental noise quieting down. GABA and L-Theanine are doing their job. Anxiety and racing thoughts ease.

T–0
Sleep Full stack active

By the time you're ready to sleep, melatonin is peaking in your system, your muscles are relaxed from magnesium, and the valerian and chamomile have added another layer of calm. You support healthy sleep onset and support healthy sleep patterns.

Why This Combination Works
The GABA + L-Theanine pairing

These two work synergistically. L-Theanine increases alpha brain waves — the same pattern seen in meditation. GABA suppresses the overactive neural firing that causes racing thoughts. Together they create calm without sedation — you're relaxed but not knocked out.

Melatonin timing

Melatonin works best when timed correctly. Drinking Lull 30–45 minutes before target sleep time lets melatonin peak in your bloodstream exactly when you want to fall asleep — not at 3am, not at 6am. The timing is the technique.

Why carbonation?

Light carbonation increases the rate of absorption through the stomach lining compared to still beverages. It also makes Lull genuinely enjoyable to drink — which matters for consistency. The ritual only works if you actually do it.

Why no caffeine?

Caffeine has a half-life of 5–7 hours. Even trace amounts of caffeine in an evening drink can measurably reduce sleep quality. Lull contains zero caffeine — not even "hidden" caffeine from tea extracts. Your sleep window is protected.
